CLARA CHASE ROUSSELL

Untimely and inexpressibly sad was the death of Mrs. Clara Chase Roussell, the young wife of Frank Roussell who passed away unexpectedly at her home on Stambaugh Street Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Roussell was the mother of a six-day-old baby and her condition was considered to be favorable. Her husband was sitting by her bedside when she was seized with a sudden heart failure and altho physicians were hurriedly summoned, she sank into unconscienceness and passed away. The news of her death which spread rapidly was a shock to her many friends.

Mrs. Roussell was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Stafford, pioneer residents and was one of the bright and popular girls of this community. She leaves her husband and three young children to mourn her loss. The deceased is also survived by a sister, Mrs. J.L. Ross and two brothers Tom Stafford and H.S. Sears.

The funeral took place Tuesday, the sorrying occasion drawing many friends to the stricken home. Rev. A.W. Darwell of St. Peters Church conducted the services. The deceased was laid to rest in Union Cemetery.

Mr. Roussell is deeply grateful for the kindness and sympathy shown him and his family during his sad bereavement and he desires to publicly return thanks to all.
