WESLEY A. WILSEY

October 17, 1863

Wesley A. Wilsey died October 17, 1863. He was the father of eight children. One of his daughters was Mary Adeline Wilsey who married Joseph J. Cloud and was the mother of Roy W. Cloud.

The family came to California in 1853 from New Harmony, Indiana in an Ox Team and with them brought one hundred mild cows.

The family first settled in San Francisco. In 1856, they moved to their ranch in San Mateo County, which was near the town of ‘Crystal Springs’ which eventually became Crystal Springs Dam.
