W. H. Gardner

Mr. Gardner was born near Fal river, Massachusetts. In 1852 he shipped as a sailor, and came to this coast in 1858, having in his voyages visited many foreign countries. Soon after his arrival in this state he embarked on a voyage to Tahiti and Hongkong, China, and was absent eight months. On his return in June 1859, he settled at Pescadero, on the ranch where he has, since that time, resided continuously.
